Pine and Swallow Environmental (P&S) is a multidisciplinary consulting
company which has served public and private clients
throughout New England since 1981. The broad backgrounds
of the principals and staff enable P&S to maintain
a personal approach in creating effective, high value
solutions. P&S personnel have backgrounds in geotechnical
and civil engineering, landscape architecture, horticulture,
geology, soil and environmental chemistry, wetlands,
ponds, and environmental science.
P&S restored
a former granite quarry for its headquarters in
Groton, Massachusetts.
Robert
N. Pine, P.E.
Director of Environmental Planning and Engineering
Bob Pine is both a landscape architect and professional
engineer. As a principal and founder of Pine and Swallow Environmental, he has had design responsibility
for more than 200 site development projects throughout
New England. He is a recognized expert in soil and
drainage design and in environmental engineering.
Bob has a long record of service with non-profit
conservation organizations and has received numerous
conservation and environmental awards.
John C. Swallow is a principal and founder of the
firm of Pine & Swallow Associates, Inc. As Director
of Environmental Sciences, he has overall responsibility
for P&S projects in environmental analysis, contaminant
hydrogeology, remediation and land reclamation.
He is widely recognized as a pioneer in development
of on-site geochemical environmental reconnaissance
technologies. John's new investigation methods received
one of the first New England Environmental Awards.
John has provided litigation support and court testimony
and has been an invited speaker at numerous conferences.
